Crushed by merciless shifting sands, The ancient bole of a dead tree stands With outstretched arms flung high and wide Above the cruel and hopeless tide Of glittering sands, whose avid haste Had turned the green to barren waste. Yet here and there an inward spark Of Faith was strong within the dark, And cleft the sand with unseen power To fragrantly bring forth a flower! Thus Hope may spring with strength anew, To know such blossoms bravely grew Within the depths and rose so free Above the sands that killed a tree! |

Rex: This is an incredibly lovely poem of faith and hope. A poem beautifully depicting the wonder of Gods' neverending glory and power. Beautifully poetic! Ellie Summers haunting melody that awakens the butterflies, calling them to join the dance in their silent song of praise to God. ellie LeJeune |

Beautifully descriptive of His love so strong for us. I loved your poem. Was hesitant at first to go it - titles can be misleading. My apologies. Sheri. |
