God Holds Me Close So many times I could have lost it …all common sense and such without the Savior coming forth and sharing with me….touch…. certain times in my life I've come to him in prayer each and every time never feared nor wondered "is He there?"… and when my mind was frazzled and too deep in thought to pray I never for a moment wondered "is He guiding me on my way?" and when the despair closed on in and when hot tears pained my eyes when in deepest agony I know He heard my cries. That is when, with tightest grasp in his Love I've been clasped and with his robe He tried my tears and has comforted me, all these years. How has HE done this, do you ask? Ok, first your name....Love it, would have loved to name a daughter Karilea, it is beautiful.(Have to work on perhaps getting a granddaughter named this, not any time soon though)!!! Wow! Amazed at all of you... my name...LOL...didn't want it at age 7, found out at 17 it could be an ice-breaker [no one pronounces it correctly]...I was such a SHY child...it caused a lot of pain in the beginning... at 27 people told me it was "different" at 37 people were more open to it... at 47 I decided I'd keep it... but I wouldn't necessarily tell ANY of you to give it to your child, grand or otherwise...unless you can see in their tiny little soul that they will "survive" the name... I'm glad I was able to... denise, thank you ... bonnie, I will continue to give strength as I can... alle, because of my name, He gave me strength... thank you all again for your kind words. It takes much faith and strength to know He's always there. Especially in times of trouble. A perfect reflection of your belief. We always try to give our kids names that are original don't we? Yours certainly is. It is who you are, and if only we'd known that when we were younger. Mine was also an original name. I only knew of person who had it. My second grade teacher. For many years I was jested about it. As I hit H.S. I found others with the same name, which came as a shock to me. Nowadays it's pretty common. Love your originality Karilea!! |

I'll kneel and start but then my mind inevitably wanders and I feel so bad. Most times I just give up... I don't know that anything I say is heard. Good to see someone else struggle at this place without giving up. Thank you for sharing this. |
