One night as I lay sleeping, My Saviour spoke to me. If in startle I had not awakened, I would have sworn it was a dream. "Yes my Lord" I whispered. As my heart in awe did beat. And again with gentle voice, My Lord began to speak. He said... "I long to spend some time with you, But so busy you seem to be. I watch you as you rush around, And occasionally think of me. I see you in your struggles, I stare straight at your pain, I beg for your attention, My efforts seem in vain. I yearn to have you at my feet, And share with me awhile. I wish you really knew my love for you, My precious little child. So when you get a moment, Just simply speak my name, I'm as close as just a whisper, My time is yours to claim". With that He did not speak again, And I began to weep. My loving Lord and Saviour, Had spent some time with me. |

juliet, What can I say! Amen. Your poem beautifully written but the message and reminder moreso. I needed this reminder and I thank you. Stop and give Him our love and praise, give Him back our love. So spiritual. |

Yes Bob and He speaks in so many ways. I see Him in everything around me. I love the way He gently reminds me when its been awhile since I just sat down and simply talked to Him. Juls I needed this one tonight! How true we get so busy in our lives, and tend to think of Him less and less. This is beautiful and I'm sure the same would have left me weeping.
