I cry out in pain, Not a day goes by that I think of you. my soul feels so empty without you. Please lord, come into my heart and take this pain away. I beg you. My soul hungers so deeply, a living nightmare. I want so deeply to love you christ, why can I not gain the will over myself to believe in you the you that rose from the ashes. my mind and spirit are at war. |

 God needs to do a spiritual "Open Heart Surgery" in your life. Just sign your life over into His hands and let Him do the job...See post: "Open Heart Surgery." I wrote this poem for my brother who was physically dying. He has several amputations already to remain alive and the doctors only gave him a couple more days to live... We were all praying for him to live. To make a long story short... My brother is still alive today and has through this trial in his life accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and that is the greatest miracle in anyones life... To know the Lord. Oh how I remember wrestling with giving up MY will for HIS will in my everyday life, but after doing so, I can't even imagine how I survived before. Whenever I look back to my BC days, it's only with remorse for spending so many without knowing I could lean on Him for all my needs. Had a zillion problems all reduced to one (hold and strengthen my faith). What a tremendous relief! God bless, Rae |

The flesh warreth against the spirit. I'm just going to be straight with you here, so I hope you don't mind. You have the want to know Christ, but it is His will we need to follow and not our own. This is not an easy thing to do. I knew of God, but didn't follow, didn't know enough or know better. When I actually started to want to know the Lord better, that's when things got rough. Things went wrong, and I said it was easier before I started to follow Him. BUT I didn't give up. We serve in this world one of two masters. Be it either Christ, or Satan. IN all things, you will find one or the other. When we weren't serving Jesus, we were serving Satan, even though totally unaware of doing so. When we have the 'will' or the want to follow Christ, Satan has already had us all this time, and he fights to keep you. Things go wrong, they seem to fall apart. But you keep going toward that Light! For what I didn't know then that I do now is, God has given us power over all our enemies. Send them demons back to where they came, in the name of Jesus. God is there, you've asked Him to help and interceed. And He shall! Believe that with all your mind. It shall take time, but you will feel him working in your life. When we've totally surrendered unto him, it is then we can feel the total peace within. We know without a doubt that things will be ok. Like I said, it's something that's easy to say, but not so easy to do. When we're at this point, we can do nothing more, we're at our end. BUT He is only begun. He can do so much more than we can. He can fix the things we cannot. He can take the pain we can't give away. He can heal the broken heart, that we cannot mend. It takes FAITH, and it takes TRUST. I know you have both of those! I'm sorry I went on so long here, I don't want to give you a speech.  It's just I've walked in those shoes, and have been wanting the same things. I can certainly relate to the war. God be with you, and make you strong. Your poem is a wonderful confession of true and struggling emotions. You truly have the WILL to follow. Thank you for sharing your heart.
