The End of the Road Is Just a Bend |

When we feel we have nothing left to give And we are sure that the "song has ended" When our day seems over and the shadows fall And the darkness of night has descended, Where can we go to find the strength To willfully keep on trying, Where can we find the hand that will dry The tears that the heart is crying There's but one place to go and that is to God And, dropping all pretense and pride, We can pour out our problems without restraint And gain strength with Him at our side. And together we stand at life's crossroads And view what we think is the end, But God has a much bigger vision And He tells us it's only a bend. For the road goes on and is smoother, And the "pause in the song" is a "rest," And the part that's unsung and unfinished Is the sweetest and richest and best. So rest and relax and grow stronger, Let go and let God share your load, Your work is not finished or ended, You've just come to "a bend in the road." |

Jer, your work is just awesome! You have strong messages and great writing! I haven't read a thing that I haven't liked thus far. This was very touching. You know, someone once said to me, be glad God doesn't show you what lies ahead. For if we knew what troubles we would have to endure, I don't think we'd ever find the strength to do them. Thank God, he only shows us some, and gives us a little at a time, guiding us around the bend. <*\\\>< Jesus is the reason for the season |

I cant think of anything to say that hasnt already been said, so I will 'echo' the above statements! Great job! ~*~ Hell is not a place of fire and a devil with a tail and horns. But a place of torment because the light of God is gone. To escape this, accept the blood of Jesus Christ! ~*~ |

So beautifully written as is all of your pieces that I've read so far... A soul that writes from the heart and shares it, truly gives a gift extraordinaire! |

this poem reminds me (favorably) of John Donne (one of my favorite poets).. especially in the use of the musical rest in symbolizing death... **jerome the boy with no brain |
