I wrote this today as a response to something posted in "Open Poetry #10". It felt like it belonged on this board. It was not posted as a new topic and thus I hope I am not a dreaded "cross-poster" --- Trust 'Til The End --- Remember dear friend, When you first rode a bike Remember what fear of Unknown was like. Would you soar like the wind And and conquer this ride Would you tumble to earth And helplessly cry But someone was holding The bike as they ran Until they were sure You were thinking "I can" Life is like this With the Father above One day he lets go And watches with love He knows you might wobble Perhaps even go down But know for yourself That he's always around Some days you will feel You can pedal no more Just trust that he loves you And you'll soon again soar. Take hold and pedal My troubled young friend Keep straight your path And trust till the end < !signature--> Some men see things as they are and ask "WHY ?" I see things as they could be and ask "WHY NOT ?" [This message has been edited by The Lonely Stranger (edited 10-24-2000).] |

Dear Lonely Stranger, Yes, it belongs here as your words of love and wisdom were given to Amy, #10, private post, to bring her comfort; here, they will bring many comfort. I need to remember this always. Illustrated so well, easy to relate as we learned to ride our bikes. Thank you, Marcy |

The real strength lies in trust and though it may seem to be the hardest thing to do at times but once you start and feel the strength in "him" then it becomes easier. |

Yes, I remember being there for each of my children when they were learning to ride. Very well described. Thank you for sharing this wonderful thought of our Father being with us, Til the End. Melton |

LonelyStranger~ And just as we learn to trust those hands that held the bicycle - we learn that He is always there to hold our hand should we feel the need to be held again. What a lovely inspiration you had and shared with us. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |
