The flesh now in control I'm trying hard to fight it But there's none who can console The world has taken over Both the spirit and the mind The harder I try to fight it The harder it is to find Though the eyes are seeing The spirit won't conform Seems it won't take control To overcome this storm The eyes are growing weary The spirit has gone blind Lord please lift me from the pit Your love once more to find Bring me from this awful sleep Bring my soul back to awake Lord there's so much riding here My soul is what's at stake Each day that passes by me I'm drifting farther away Lord it's not where I wanna be It's not where I wanna stay Once again I am in need Of your awesome loving grace To guide me and protect me With each new day I face <*\\\>< I know not what the future holds, but I know Who holds the future. |

Aw, Becky, I know this place well. The only mistake I ever make is to forget that He is right there waiting with all the Grace and Love we need. I get so mired in my own thinking, that I forget He will change everthing in a hearbeat if we will but look away from our own distractions and focus on His loving eyes! Whtdove~ I believe we all suffer in that same mode at one time or other. When the holy spirit nudges us home, we have to learn to surrender. It's not an easy place to be, that valley, but his hand is always there to gently pull us out of the rut. Hugs, Deb |

This post is so touching and I want to cry for you. Yes,it seems we get so on fire for our Lord, we can't imagine forgetting or being without Him. Then we feel so very guilty when we find we're like Peter when his humanity took over from time to time, even though he truly loved Christ. We must admit it, ask for help and go on.
