As I sit at the window the morning And watch the huge snowflakes fall, Leaves left unraked in the garden, Are piled up along the stone wall. Looking like mounds of creamy fluff, Covered now with a blanket of white, No longer an unsightly mess out there, At this moment, it looks just right. It's a scene that I will reflect on, To remind myself that You're there, As the weeks ahead come quickly, With memories at times hard to bear. I'll think back and remember this moment, Watching squirrels searching for food, Filling their cheeks with acorns, And feeding them to their small brood. I'll laugh again at the bluejay, Who's putting on a wonderful show, Flopped on his back, waving his wings, Leaving angels in the snow. I'll see the majestic pine tree, Guarding cardinals in their new home, And the tiny little brown sparrows, Huddled close in their little dome. And though these weeks may be bittersweet, These moments will help get me through, I need only give up the struggle, And turn it all over to You. Dear Bonnie;; The wisdom of the ages in your last line of this beautiful scene you've painted. Surrender it all to our beloved Lord and Savior and everthing according to His Will. Love, Ellie Belief is a truth held in the mind; faith is a fire in the heart. Joseph Fort Newton |

BSC, Beautiful images my friend. ![]() LW Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats |

Bonnie, so often times when I reread the words I've written it does bring you back to just what you want to remember. May it help you remember! ![]() Not only the happy moments but to turn it over to God. |

Bonnie~ I know just what you mean about the memories ... I will revel in them and be thankful for them - and then think of your little bluejays - frolicking in your snow. Thanks always for the tenderest of renders. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |
