How does He love me? Let me count the ways,
He loves me in the morning sun that warms the chilly days;
He loves me in the gentle breeze that whispers passing by,
Cooling and refreshing, to me resembling a sigh.

He loves me in beauty contained in fields of flowers,
Yielding their fruits and berries..all these things are ours;
His love is reflected in song..the warbler when he sings,
No doubt praising the creator for the beauty of his wings.

Just listen to the sound of water.. the waves lapping the shore,
Rocks, glistening with receding waves, bracing themselves for more;
The list is quite endless..God loves me much, you see
There is no end to how He shows me, knowing how pleased I'll be.

For you see, God knew when He made me.. how I'd think and feel inside,
And so these are the ways He loves me..and shows He's by my side;
On days when I'm sad or lonely..no one understands like He
And these are the ways He comforts, sharing His love with me.

Oh,how I do love Elizabeth B. Browning's Sonnets from the Portuguese.... How do I love thee? Let me count the ways..... with God, our expressions of Love are limitless beyond countability but you have made a very good start at it. Nice words of Love for our God. Bob <><

I just bought a book of Elizabeth Barrett Browning's poetry, partly because of her sonnets. No human love could possibly match the expressions you have shown here. This is beautiful, my friend, and made me smile all the way through. I have one to add to your list. He shows me that He loves me by the wonderful people He puts into my life. hugs

I too have to say the The Sonnets from the Poertuguese are also some of my very favorite. You have out done her here...this is so exquisite! I have another addition, He loves me here through divine inspiration as I read your poem!

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.
