Written during a convicting sermon. Unlimited Forgiveness Virginia Salter Forgive seventy times seven, but then who’s counting? The sins of my neighbor... they just keep mounting. This sin, of my brother, is greater than my love; I can’t open my heart, just give him a shove This sin, of my sister, wounds heart and soul. It hampers my will, messes with my goal To be forgiving, to be kind. In the Lord to be one mind. For my weakness, Lord, please forgive. Help me go forward and in Your will live. So goes the prayer of a “would-be prodigal” judgmental of others yet pleads God’s merciful. © July 23, 2000 |

Well written. I think we go through much the same battles of the mind. Spritiual warfare is the pits! However, we know who is greater than all of this. Praise God his mercy is brand new every day, and in his strength we can be overcomers. Deb |

Very truthful words, such a liberating act to forgive and so hard to do. Thanks for sharing, it really touched me. A quarter of a century must pass, for the writer to understand what and why he writes. |
