He hugs me in so many ways Beyond my even knowing, Every manifestation of His Love Is a Hug that He is showing. His loving Will allowing me To live when and where I do, Is a tender Hug from God Oh the marvels that I view. The LORD who never slumbers Awake to all alarms, Craddles me in my weariness Hugging me in his Mighty Arms. Loving me despite my flaws That Great One from above, Surrounds me with His Grace Divine Sublime is His Hug of Love. And even when He chastens me His hands, not bent on wrath, The Hugs of His correcting Are His firm Love-Pats. What manner of Love hath He bestowed That I, a Child of His may be, Knowing now that Perfect Love He shows so Huggably! With Time He now enfolds me But now for a brief while, Until His Hug is broadened To an Everlasting Smile! No Better Place do I know Than where Hearts knit as one, For in that grand experience, The Better ALL become. God Bless us All!!! [This message has been edited by deleeme (edited 04-02-2001).] |

This is great! I especially like the way you've so beautifully shown His hugs even when disciplining us all the way to the eternal one. Thank you, David. Rae |

This is a good poem! This challenge is still out there? haha ![]() On a more technical note, I think that the english language needs more words that rhyme with "arms!" All agreed, raise a hand? I use this word often and it's impossible to rhyme! ![]() Well you worked "alarms" in nice still. hah ![]() ~Allan The sun was born, so it shall die. ~VNV Nation, "Further" |
