![]() The Red Queen announced: “it is routine to believe six impossible things before breakfast.” In the world of ultra-small, it is possible to be in two places at once, provided you don’t look too closely. Getting a single particle to pass through a needle’s eye and behave like a wave by passing through both slits at once, is what physicists call ‘quantum superpostion’ of two alternative states. Our needles are working in unison, our hands embellishing sacred spaces with our own creation. The ritual of hiddur mitzvah, uncovering and exposing these hidden parts of ourselves. Our collective kavanah, making the ordinary holy. Art provides an opening, inviting one to come in and claim a sense of self and of spirituality often lost or mysteriously hidden. Through a needle’s eye passes strands of silk from our hands may we all find the courage to celebrate our collective beauty and make our culture come alive. For it is easier to pass for a camel while passing through a needle’s eye than to be poor in spirit - or so am I told. 'To be enfolded by a tallit is regarded as being enveloped by Holiness' "I am not now that which I have been." |

This was lovely. So nice to exchange cultures through our poetry. I expected to find a story about the space needle, when I saw your title. Thank you for this. Joyce |

Thank you Joyce: I was going for a spinon the verse: it is easier for a camel to pass through a needles eye rather than a rich man to enter into the kingdom of heaven. Anyway, glad you enjoyed. ~shalom "I am not now that which I have been." |
