The faith I had when just a child Was part of every day. On Sundays we would go to church And there I'd learn to say The Bible verses memorized And listen to the tales Of people who had realized His loving never fails! But as I grew, there was a time My faith began to wane. It took some troubled years before I found my way again, Back to the beliefs so early taught And still as strong as then. The belief that God All Powerful, Still watches over men. Now, I'm so thankful for my faith. It strengthens me all ways And brings the joy of blessedness To my remaining days. This is so true of so many, Trillium. We have to wander a bit before we get back. . Joyce |

To me your poem is an example of the great importance of teaching our children and all children in general about the stories found in God's Word.... and to remain faithful to believe that our chlidren will return to them one day as you have. Bob <>< |

Often seems faith is far stronger in those who've strayed and returned. Yes, learning in the early years (wheather or not understanding) is extremely important. This piece emphasises that. Very nicely done. Rae |
