To Bloom a Wake of Smiles Virginia Salter Morning of a new day possibilities arise to write one’s history one step at a time Will my history bloom as the future passes by what may lie ahead as the past ticks on behind Might there be a wake of smiles or tears that bleed concern might hope toughen my foundation as faith more surely burns Will my lips confess a love that flows from my Sweet Lord will my hands be open wide not clenched as ‘round a sword In Your will, may I stand seeking to listen more than speak as each hour You give, unfolds, help me, true, Your Word to seek. ©April 30, 2000 |

Wonderful work, it flowed very well. ![]() I admire your skill a great deal. ~Allan Build a man a fire, and he's warm for a day. Set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life. |

Good poem and I think we all would like to leave a "wake of smiles". Effective phraseology. Betty Lou Hebert |
