Honesty
Why can you not get it in return
All you get is hurt for the trust
Not an ounce of truth in most
Little more in the rest
Lies are the most common language
Spoken the world wide
Husband to wife
Mother to child
Friend to friend
Stranger to stranger
Why cant we tell the truth
Give each other the love
That we each deserve
Be more like Jesus
In our walk here
Be kind to
All?

Rodney, it sure seems that way sometimes.
When we get hurt it's hard to trust again, and we seem to be leary of everyone we come across.

It is hurtful to be lied too no doubt. But, we can always find that truth in God and His Word.

I love how you ended this one, with much hope, and something to really make people stop and think!!

mankind will always disappoint in some way, willingly or not...but God changeth not, He is where to place one's trust, and to pray for discernment and the ability to forgive, for we each are a piece of mankind as well and, sometimes, we have been known not to say exactly what we meant to tell, if only by omission...skirting the issue, to protect ourselves or the hearer
