        THE CHRISTMAS GIFT

       The Child brought a Gift,
   On that first Christmas Day.
   The package was so well wrapped
   That few would guess Its contents.
   His Father had told Him to deliver It,
   For It was to be
   The Gift of Gifts;
   Priceless.
   The Child delivered It,
   Thirty-three years later,
   Just before Easter.

A very impressive first post. The Child did give the most distinguished gift in that He gave His life. That is, was, and will always be the best Christmas gift ever given to anyone... and the best that I have personally ever received. Thank you for your reminder through poetry. -Bob
