I began this one yesterday on my drive to joing my daughter and friends at a campground. I was pondering the past 18 years. A Prayer of Supplication In youth I was strong I went forward with confidence of stalwart naivete And then, a huge chunk was taken from my side It weakened and faltered my stride Yet You were there You lifted me cradled me While I took time to learn again how to walk So often I feel as though I’m still crawling I pull myself to a stand, hanging on with all I am A semblance of confidence returns enough, barely enough, that I let go Yet, when I let go it seems I must take my eyes off You and Your promise what I see are high waves vipers half-crazed a gaping hole in my boat a tear in my sails Help me keep my vision help me find the Stone upon which to stand take my hand renew my faith, spark my hope, help me rest In You © September 3, 2001 |

Thanks, Betty, and don't we all, and so often we try to think we don't have to renew the prayer, that we've got it covered. He does, but when we pray, we acknowledge that He does. Right? |

This is a beautiful sentiment, acknowledging your need for His care. Joyce |
