The Rose

Hope, fear,
and a golden tear
rose to the sky...
There and behold
in that sky of gold
a dream came passing by.
The dream was filled with Peace,
encompassed by God's Love,
And God's hand strengthened
that part of the sky above.
And He sent the world a blessing,
wrapped up in swaddling clothes,
down through the rock of ages
in the sweetness
of the rose.
