First Flowers My garden's beautiful and yet It's not the garden Eden knew. That I was not around then too Quite often fills me with regret. Will my imagination let Me see what lovely flowers grew? Now surely roses often drew The eyes of angels when they met. Were there seasons that we know> Or was it always warm and fair? Yet even in perfection's glow, We're told there was a serpent there. I feel the flowers that I grow Are something Eve and I could share! [This message has been edited by Trillium (edited 10-18-2001).] |

This is a lovely poem and I am sure Eve grew some of the same flowers we have. Love, Joyce |

Lovely poem you have written. The bible tells us; eye has not seen, nor ears have heard what waits for us in heaven. One day we'll get to find out exactly what beauty was in Eve's garden. What an exciting thought! Deb |

Joyce: I suspect you're right about the same flowers being in Eden as we see now. Maybe some of them are extinct, but someday we'll see for ourselves. Betty Lou Hebert |

Trillium, If Adam had come with a rose, I suppose Man would not have fallen. For if that rose had caught Eve's nose, Satan would have no need for callin'. Your poem inspired a little poetry there. -Bob |
