Suppose He Comes Today We have heard it said for years Christ may come today This fills many hearts with fears People wonder, “Will we be caught away” What prophecy must He yet fulfill For Him to come to the clouds The trumpet will sound through the still We will rise to meet Him in the crowds Believers who have died will rise first in the air Believers who are alive will follow behind We’ll be with Him, and have eternity to share What a wonderful promise for saved mankind Where will you be on this promised day Do you know Him as your Saviour, my friend If you know Him, you will be snatched away The marriage supper of the Lamb you will attend The seven years of Tribulation will be beyond belief The horrors of death will be everywhere People remaining will know unspeakable grief People who reject Christ now have not a prayer No one knows the day or the hour Only God, the Father, knows Trust Him for salvation, know His power When Christ appears, you’ll be one who goes Written by, Wanda 10/6/01

You did a good job with this poem.. this is on my mind too.. and yesterday I watched the movie "Left Behind" and it really brought it all to life..I am sure this event is closer than we might think. |

Songbird; I realize this is written using pretty straight talk. I did that because I too believe we are close. There is no prophecy left to fulfill prior to the Rapture (snatching away of the believers). We need to be alert to how things are beginning to be put together for the Tribulation. As I understand scripture the Rapture will occur prior to the Tribulation. We know from Scripture a seven year peace treaty has to be signed in the Middle East between the Antichrist and Israel. The temple has to be rebuilt, etc. There are those who have heard the gospel presentation, understood and rejected it with the thought, "I can always do this later." If the Rapture occurs, and those individuals are left behind, they won't get another opportunity to trust Christ during the Tribulation. That is so sad; if only people could realize there is an urgency. Behold today is the day of salvation; tomorrow may actually be too late. Oh, by the way, I have seen that movie as well. Wanda |
