Love with truth and reason "God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth." NIV John 4:24 Why do we fear to dine on truth Imagine worse, illusion's fruit Don't we now know that truth, not lies Is all that matters in the skies Sin is when we know the whole truth And choose to stray in haste of youth When we don't know, is it okay To go along a selfish way? Doing what is said, right or wrong According to another's song? But when we learn a new true way And go to God to hear His Say. Suddenly, do we realize That our own heart holds no disguise For God made all things! They are good! It's truth, not rules, in hearts that could. Choose love of others over self As truth with reason gives us health For only when our heart's impure Will sin disease create it's lure. When we believe dark fantasy And shield responsibility But these are lies; they'll make us die With love, truth and reason, we fly. Love with truth and reason. Newell, You show much wisdom in this great poetic treatise, as one who really knows the score. So many are blind or deceived to the true realities, and the genuine value of things in this life--and thus persue the glitter- but ignor the heart & core of that which really matters.
