               Dreams of Dreams

  Oh I have dreamed of dreams of eternity
   in search of reason for being
  Only to find a dreamed once removed
   is light years times ten too far for seeing.
  It came to me of a winters sunset that
   our light is within
  For it be eternal and has always been.

  Suffice it to know the miracle doth exist
   that allows mere souls to glow
  In this panoply of ten billion suns,
   adding their light of warmth and love
  However slight their sums.

  For it must be the firmament exists
   to frame and to show,
  God's love,our soul,
   to  be His reason for Being,
  What more need we to know?

ricardo, yes we do have a reason for being. To Love God with all of our hearts, mind and soul. We are made for Him, not Him for us. But in His Mercy and Grace He Loves us with even more Love than we are capable of returning. Our reason for being is to Love!

ricardo: I really enjoyed your poem! Isn't it wonderful that though we are each so small, we are allowed our dreams and even have some of them come true? God is so understanding of what is in our hearts.
