My God has splendid plans for me Though sometimes I refuse to see His guiding hand and wonder why Things don't turn out the way that I Have chosen.I would rather try To fit His plans around my own. Take credit for myself alone. Since He has given me a choice I do not always hear His voice. Headlong into my willful way Not hearing what he has to say, Forgetting to take time to pray. When my life has fallen apart I ask God back into my heart. Now my days are full of gladness. God has taken all the sadness. I take the time to listen well To everything God has to tell And skip right over where I fell, When I was only prideful self And had put God upon the shelf. By Joyce 5/13/02 |
