I did not find You
in the wind
gusting through my soul
in unrestrained abandon.
I did not find You
in the forest greenery
standing tall with
its thickened hush.
I did not find you
in the waves
crashing hard against
shell-encrusted piles;
yet I found You
in a moment when my knees were bowed
and my heart was opened wide.
You held the keys
to my yearning heart
and You unlocked the doors
that were locked up tight
after so many empty years.
