Today the breeze was still as sweet
the trees were just as green
the smell of Summer waning fast
soon Autumn will begin.

The flowers though few in bloom
still looked as wonderful today
the air had the feel of life
the wind brought joy my way.

I heard the call of the wild
outside my window still
the birds still came to alight
upon my window sill.

Yes today was a wonderful day
still peace in God I feel
all was just as it should be
for the one I serve is real.
