I've never posted anything or even read anything here so I hope my work fits in. This poem is based around my religion. I am not preaching or anything but I would like to share some of my beliefs for they are my foundation. Long ago thrust into a world of hate Christ brought light to everyone He carved the path that we should all follow now Acquainted with grief - he was alone Are we not alone sometimes Fighting for a reason to live What is our purpose in life? What in this live can we give? There is hliness in all of us There is truth that can be found He will never leave our side If we cross back to his ground Remember that night that you cried aloud For something to comfort and hold you For an explanation of yourself He hear... God really did hear you 'Come unto him'...... No longer fear the truth Open your heart and see for yourself Let faith replace the proof That feeling which surrounds you That Hope which enlightens you That thought that entraps you That peace which fulfills you We are children of God He loves us more than we can comprehend God knows each and every one of us And our sorrows... he can mend |

Faith was not made to be horded It was made to be shared Just as you have done in your poem Yes Thank God that KARI cared! Thank you for your wonderful poem of Faith. That's just the thing that we encourage in this forum-the sharing of one's Faith, as a precious gift to all it's hearers. Don't be afraid, you are most welcome here! Kari- My goodness, this is the second of your poems i have looked at and i am deeply, deeply impressed. You mentioned your faith is your foundation(as it should be) and you can definitely see it in your writing. For nobody can write so articularly of god's love unless they, themeselves have been witness to it. God Bless! you can't make footprints in the sand of times that you are sitting down |
