It's a cold, dark night, The moon so bright. I cannot fight this fight, They have me tied so tight. As I walk along the shore line, I pace between thick and fine. There is something for which I pine, If only it were mine. And I look down the way, Towards the bay. It seems to say, There will be another day. I look to the sky, It seems so high. I know the time is nigh, When the Lord will hush my why. People can laugh and leer, I will have no fear. I will not shed a tear, For the coming is near. |

I too do not fear the end, and until He comes for us, I will do my best to be the best Christian I can be and shed His words to all I can. This is a beautiful poem, thank you for sharing! ------------------ ~*~ Time erases and rewrites all the lines. What remains is the poetry! ~*~ |
