I'd made an appointment with Christ to meet Him at the cross; was running late one day, failed to arrive the next. He hung there, a picture of patience - carrying the weight of the world upon His shoulders, just waiting for me to shrug off my pride and humble myself before His bloodied feet. It was when I'd stopped rescheduling these neglected appointments that my parched soul screamed it's need, and when i crawled the hill of calvary and hung my head before Him, I was not scolded for my previous unattendance. "I've missed you my child." He simpy said. "I'm glad you could make it. Now let's get down to work!" And together we crucifed sin; together we rose from the dead, together we live a life of victory, praising our Father above. |

Mirjam, Your words speaks volumns. Jesus is so patience and extends His love as we humble before Him. Well written. Heart felt. God Bless Alle'cram |

Mirjam, You speak of a most beautiful rendezous, one which if we would realize as such, would cause us to put it at the head of our list--and not keep Jesus Hanging. I enjoyed how you expressed this, Jesus working together with us to affect that crucifixion, that resurrection, that victory over sin to the Praise and glory of God. AMEN! Oh Mirjam, this took my breath away. I wish this poem could be on every billboard across the country, think how many would stop and think. Jesus wrote this poem directly on your heart, because, as I read it I could feel His love so profoundly. Thank you, thank you, ellie 02 |

This poem speaks volumns in not so many words just as someone else has said above. Good message we all need to heed. [This message has been edited by Septsong (edited 03-01-2000).] |

thank you all for your comments! David - i'm glad you picked up one of my main points - that as joint heirs with Christ we work together for the glory of God, and for us to be forgiven we must first humble ourselves before Him and place those things on the cross - he can't do that part without our help. You always give such responsive comments - thanks. and ellie - i think He did too because i woke up the other morning and had about 15 minutes before my alarm went off so i lay in the dark praying and just thinking, and the idea and the words just came so i wrote them down - isn't it cool when that happens? Amen eh? Amen. ![]() |

What beautiful, humbling work, how often we let the affairs of this world distract us from that which is of True and Lasting Value, a personal relationship with our Savior. Thanks for posting this one. Dennis :^) Poetry is the expression of thoughts which awake the higher and nobler emotions, or their opposites, with words arranged to some accepted convention.........or maybe not! Dennis :^) |

A fantastic writing bringing out 2 points rartely written about. As we put Him off on our schedules, He's suffering greatly, and as before mentioned, that we, too, partake of the death, burial and resurrection as joint heirs. Beautifully done! Thank you. |
