Signs along the Road of Life Signs along the road of life, Gives us reason to inspect, If they warn of perilous dangers, T'would be foolish to neglect! YIELD!, to a loving Savior, Whose compassion runs deep and wide, If you but heed his instructions, He'll guide you safely to the other side. ONE WAY!, Our dear Savior whispers, Through Him, He's the truth and the Life, No other way to the Father, It'll save you much grief and great strife. NO U-TURNS!, a sign often warns, Continue on that narrow strait path, For MANY will go in the Broad Way, To Destruction, to suffer Gods' Wrath! DETOUR AHEAD! is a warning, Calamities will often assail, We must continue to let JESUS guide us, Past hard times on our pilgrim trail. STOP!, don't forget to praise Him, With our words, our actions, our deeds, For we'll be truely blest in obedience, And He'll supply all our Traveling needs. < !signature--> Poetry is the expression of thoughts which awake the higher and nobler emotions, or their opposites, with words arranged to some accepted convention.........or maybe not! Dennis what a cool way of looking at our journey! i like it how you did each stanza for a road sign, and based it all on truths within the bible - and your ryhming is so good! Well i certainly won't look at a road sign in the same way either! (but that's a good thing.) |
