Think of your anatomy How your eyes adjust to light How they will close and open According to dark or bright Think of all the tiny veins How delicately they're made Pumping oxygen and blood Your beating heart is their aid Who could have made a body That could heal on its own When you get a cut or scratch It can heal all alone You can take your intestines And can stretch them for a mile They're packed, perfectly inside And protected all the while How bones grow in the body From a baby to adult It's all in perfect balance A miracle's the result How perfectly we are formed From our head down to our toes No human could have done it It's only our Lord who knows For if we did attempt it We'd leave something vital out I think it is to show us What God's powers' all about We can take a simple seed And plant it within the ground Still don't know just how it grows The results will be profound Ponder on God's awesomeness Can we think He don't exist? Wtdove - the masterpieces just keep coming don't they? What an awesome poem describing the awesomeness of God! I often ponder over our anatomy, and can't believe that before i was christian i believed what my science taught me about evolving from a monkey. Only God could create such an intricate anatomy - and what about aging? Like you said about the bones, there's so much there that can't be explained in human terms - it's just God, and he's and AWESOME GOD! Thanks for sharing this wonderful poem sweetie, i'm going to print it out for others to read. Bless you. |

Awesome, YES! Just recently shared a great little song with my 2 year old, and me and my 7 year old enjoy it just as well... Ready? Pre-school 101: "God made me! God Made me! I'm so happy that God made me! He made my fingers and He made my toes, He made my knuckles and He made my nose. He made my hips and He made my chin, He made the shape that I am in!" Important we let the little ones hear from the beginning of this incredible "awsomeness". Great Poem, Whtdove! |

Masterpiece Mirjam? hahah, but that thank you! I do remember being taught that in school that we evolved. I guess being at such a young age, you can see exactly what it is they're telling you. Though thank God we know better now. For things that were made still look the same as they did thousands of years ago, a fish is still a fish, and a monkey is still a monkey. Yep, God and His infinite wisdom could only do something as complex as this. Thank you for sharing it with others, that's a blessing! JF...thanks! I like that little poem/song. I think a lot of kids need just that today, so they can be comfortable with the way God has made them.
