Forest without any Trees. Lord if you're listening. Help me O please, I'm lost in a forest without any trees. If you can hear, please shine something bright, Guide me safely back into the light. Yes I am listening I'm here at your side, If you need assistance, I'll be your guide. The roads through this forest are all made of sand, But you'll get there beside me if you just take my hand. Lord since I came to this forest I can't find my way, I can't tell the difference between night and day. But I have to keep running just to try stay ahead, For the wolfs in this forest they will be fed. From wolfs you can hide but its best not to run, They will always run faster my son. The wolfs in this forest they all feed on fear, But if they can't smell it, they won't get near. Lord they can smell it for I tremble with fright, My life has been a permanent night. I have been running since I was born, Give me the strength to last until dawn. P.J.Mc Fadden 30.06.99 Hello everyone. I hope you like my poem It is more Spiritual than anything else so I decided to post it here. pmc |

WELCOME P.J! I did like this very much. It sounds just like us, as God is answering us, and we're still trying to run things on our own understanding. There's a lot to think about here. Excellent work to make an entrance with. Glad you joined us, and I hope we get to see more! |

Hi PMC, Sometimes its hard for all of us, even when we can't feel His presence, we KNOW He is with us. I liked your analogy,"can't see the forest for the trees". Very well written. Bless You, Marcy |

Very good analogy of fear and its operation in a life. Reminds me of the cackling coyotes I heard in the woods the other night, their cackles are nerve wretching but they will run like rabbits if they felt they were seriously threatened. I am glad there is a God that can close the mouths of lions, if we trust in him. |

Welcome to Spirituals! Great poem and very thought provoking. Fear is a nast thing that keeps us from feeling His love. Here's one for you; Fear knocked on the door, Faith answered and no one was there... glad you joined us. keep writing Ellie 02 |

Thanks for all your comments. The forest I had in mind is modern life. I was afraid, and I was preyed upon. Do you ever feel you have to run but don't know where you are going? I do. P.J. McFadden |

Wonderful poem - and yes many times I have felt I needed to run and did not know where to run to. The only place that feels safe and helps me get through is the belief and faith I have - Believe and all the unsettling things around you will become less. God Bless! Kim |
