With outstretched arms I beckon you
I draw you unto me
I long to clothe you with my love
I long to set you free.

Yet somehow you don't understand
and still don't comprehend
it was for you I shed my blood
it was you, my friend.

My love reached down and picked you up
I washed away the sin
my loving hand dried each tear
a miracle did begin.

I placed a seed within your heart
my precious, living Word
and in that seed abides a hope
that cannot be deferred.

Take my hand and press on in
my love will see you through
trust in me and I'll complete
all I've promised to do!
