Trancedent Wonder

a voice it calls
a word it sings
like curves of color
down angel wings
a gentle whisper
gentler still
than the lonley cry
of a whippoorwill
a song of love
and hope and joy
he calls my name
this celeste voice
the voice says come
this I give
you must die
that you might live
and tracing the clouds
with the edge of a wing
the angels cry
to hear God sing
with tears of joy
my soul they hold
and wrap around
and gently fold
his loving hands
about my heart
and lifts me up
beyond the
stars.
