Picture your Life as a Billboard With a message all of it's own, Just what may it be saying To those by whom it is known? In truth, our life Advertises Whether by intent or default, Of just for whom or what are we living And what our life is about? The Claims that we make may mean nothing If unbacked by the Life that we live, Our Words,Thoughts and Deeds speak volumes-- On Lfe's Billboard, it's message it gives. Just what does your Life say to others? [Be honest, it's importance,is clear], For either it's recommending Or tearing down things that are dear. For even Paul so tells us Our Lives as Epistles will be, As Christians, we may be the sole Gospel That some people may now see! Do your Best to so live Life In a way, God, to Gloify, To be a true Help, not a Hindrance To all whom your Billboard pass by! "Our Creativity points to a Higher Creator--we couldn't have just happened, and for what ability we may possess--to God be the glory." -dlw- |

David; "walk the walk, don't just talk the talk", is what comes to mind here. Sometimes we don't have to say a word if His Love is shining through! Terrific poem, as usual. Always thought provoking and inspiring. Ellie 02 |

The best sermons are short and to the point and yes we as Christians are walking billboards of what Christ can do for anyone who asks. We have to be sure if we advertise, we are the kind of person God want for an endorsement. Thanks for a good read and your friendship. |

Thank you for your replies. I appreciate your support and encouragement. Son of Man--the Biblical reference which refers to the Christian life as a living epistle is found in 2 Corinthians 3:1-4. |

Another great one, David. Talk is cheap but the walk has great value to many plus glorifing the Father. I like the billboard analogy. |

David, Powerful and thank you, as the Lord is dealing with me in this area of my life, in Christ. "For even Paul so tells us Our Lives as Epistles will be, As Christians, we may be the sole Gospel That some people may now see!" Powerful and Amen, looking forward soon to hearing you deliver a sermon, in the flesh! I already have the pleasure of your fellowship, spiritually. Bless You, Marcy |

Sincerely David, Your billboard spoke to my heart. Yours is one epistle I look forward to reading. I read this poem, then read it a few more times to drink it all in, I sure like the way you write. Jester [This message has been edited by Jester59701 (edited 05-02-2000).] |

David - How true.....Another inspiring piece of work. What a great reminder to each of us. The title reminded me of some of the billboards that have gone up around here lately...my favorite...."Don't make Me come down there!!!!" signed...God. Thanks for this.....Bonnie |

We are those living epistles! Let us be ever mindful of that as we live our daily lives. Wonderful poem, David! I'm sure it made a wonderful sermon! Denise |

I have to add a Hallelujah here! This is such a fantastic analogy David!!! This one really spoke to me ![]() <*\\\>< Our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become. |

David, You have put it so well, In truth, our life Advertises Whether by intent or default, Of just for whom or what are we living And what our life is about? When we think we are fooling others it often turns out we are only fooling ourselves! Very well written and scores a bullseye! Dennis :^) |
