once this truck with greater strength
knocked me off my legs
only to be replaced again with braces and a peg.

there was this time i rescued
a family from its death
for they smashed into my lofty boards
stopping short of death.
down deep the valley was
behind the place i stood.
i was glad to be in pieces
as children's life withstood,
the mom and dad erected me
with a brand new face.
the writting on my billboard
now with a different view,
for the writting on my billboard says
God is watching you.

Marcy this is fantastic! Thank you for joining the challenge! What a story you tell, and like Jester says, we all need to slow down and notice the billboards

Actually down town Chicago they have quite a few of those...No one knows who put them there, but they say things like...

What part of Thou shalt not, didn't you understand?

I'm not really sure what the rest say, but this is what you bring to mind. Something I really need to think about! God bless ya and HUGS

Your billboard says," I'm here for God
And for Him I'll brave the blows,
If by it I can help others--
Their Loving God to Know!"

This is a wonderful poem- You've really caught the Spirit with this one!
