I lit a candle
in the dark
of night
and was astounded
how
that little light
dispelled
the darkness
so complete.

How easy it is
to forget
that the moment
I surrendered
to You, My Lord,
I became that
little candle.
A small flame of
grace
that dispells the
darkness of sin
and the power
to light the way
to You!
