Years Ago And Eons Past Years ago and eons past, when time was forever, all was everywhere, one was everything He, was One, One had always been and ever was; loneliness arose it's mournful head and the first tear dropped to fall and fall. Deep in the chasm of immortal solitude One watched, followed the tear traveling through infinity, endlessly going on and on, not slowing, not stopping, riding the winds of darkness through the emptiness of nothing... and a second tear fell. Years ago and eons past, having decided to be empty no more, One grabbed a chunk of nothingness, formed a ball, threw it into the path of the first tear and watched as the two came together to form the first something in the nothingness of everywhere. Solitude died. Something existed. One was no longer alone. Yet, the woeful head of loneliness still howled it's aching sigh. One reached out, kneaded Something, forming it, shaping it, making it, into a mass of wet and dry, high and low, water and land, Earth, and still… One was alone. Years ago, and eons past, One saw the second tear in it's endless travail of what once was emptiness, reached out swatted it and sparkles filled the void around the Earth. One saw the glitter, touched a small one, saw it burst into dazzling light, saw the light was good, started Earth spinning, called the bright side day, the dark side night, the end of day was evening, the end of night was morning, Years ago, and eons past, One was everything, God, Creator of all. He gave man His image… He gave us Love, and was lonely no more. Years ago and eons past, when time was forever, all was everywhere, one was everything He, was One, and God... God had always been and will ever be, I gave my life, my heart, my soul, to Him. W. James Beard, Jr. [This message has been edited by jwesley (edited 05-27-2000).] |

All your comments are much appreciated folks. The love and warmth for God is very evident in the many pieces I've read, on this forum, in the last few days. Wonderful place to be. jwesley |
