The Storm Within The storms of life are ragging. Strong waves of fear dash high. I feel my spirit sinking low beneath the crashing tide. With each new wave my mind descends down to a dark despair. I feel the cords of grief and pain clinging, holding me there. I cry for help yet no one hears, no person heeds my call. Or did I even make a sound? Should I try swimming to the shore, or go ahead and drown? |

I'm sure everyone can relate to these feelings at one time or another. I love the sea imagery. Denise |

Nice writing. I can feel your dispair, yet hear your cry for help. Very good job conveying your emotions. Welcome to Passions!! Looking forward to more. ![]() Friends are friend forever if the Lord's the Lord of them and a friend will not say never cause the welcome will not end. --Michael W. Smith |

I too can relate well to this. Sometimes it's so hard to swim back to shore, isn't it? Powerful and well done work here. ![]() *Krista Knutson* As soon as man does not take his existence for granted, but beholds it as something unfathomably mysterious, thought begins. ~*Albert Schweitzer*~ |

RainChild~ A nicely written piece. Raging storms can sometimes determine our path by giving us challenges to either fight against or flow with. I liked the way you portrayed the struggle in your writing. Always swim to shore ... there's an abundance of opportunity waiting on the next wave of storm. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |
