Pretend with me I found the Key to Ibsen's light. The fiction flight, of reunite. I'll take you there by my side It's only the truth I hide. I've dreamed of you in absentee, In dull and dreary ennui. And wish to close that chasm door And fly above that canyons floor. I would make a shadow true, In that way perform a coup. And challenge you, be with me there, Like Ibsen in his love affair. Pretend we are the same of age. Pretend we walk a common stage. Go back to meetings of our last Pretend that time had never past. Pretend that this is really true And I will surely be with you. |
