in the pouring rain

warm sunny rays
get closed in
by dark summer clouds
wanting to rain

sky is covered
by rainy dew
drops down by many
minutes passed

under a porch
watching the wind
tease the trees
with its mighty blow

Here in SC we could use a storm right now. I like this poem. It brought back memories from my childhood when we had a closed in porch and we'd sit and watch the storm from a front row seat.
