warm sunny rays get closed in by dark summer clouds wanting to rain sky is covered by rainy dew drops down by many minutes passed under a porch watching the wind tease the trees with its mighty blow Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before-Edgar Allen Poe |

Here in SC we could use a storm right now. I like this poem. It brought back memories from my childhood when we had a closed in porch and we'd sit and watch the storm from a front row seat. [This message has been edited by WhiteRose (07-25-2002 12:31 PM).] |
