On warmed grass amongst the daisies watching bees dance on clover I threaddelicate chains of buttercups watching cotton-clouds pass over. With silk blades tickling bare feet cross - legged in an emerald dale listening to a sweet chorus of birds I study butterly wings in detail. time belongs only to the distant past the present is a gift I long to keep so I will linger in my pocket of summer until the sun and I fall asleep. |
