Summer Memories
~*~
A mirror reflects the rainy days I’ve seen
but lines etched with time hold distant daydreams
of a summer child with daisy’s in her hair
and make believe sunshine friends
eating sugar butter bread
pouring Kool-Aid into rose colored tea cups
as butterflies dance in the breeze
and bubbles of laughter drift
in a meadow of memories
