Long, slow turn of ankle flashing toes peek from silken skirt swirls a poetic gypsy soul beats down the street, to tap her feet with a heart-skipping beat. The lady of words high-steps by with sure-footed stride; unconfined thoughts in motion as sparks flies from her heels trailing luminous poetry in her wake— centered from knobby ankle bones, each one a holy grail in rounded ivory. Every callus a memory of rhyme not spoken; as scarlet toenails— painted desire, shelled tokens, reflects the dazzling sunlight. Quick step off the curb evokes a hidden arch of the world contained in the bare bones of Beverly’s feet. Thanks peg, was just a stray thought of an over-tired mind, that blossomed. ![]() |
