I searched all morning for food
I found just a morsel at noon
I'm hungry, morsel of food,
satisfy me

I was not satisfied

I went in search of a treasure
I found gold, silver, and more.
I'm hungry, riches from earth,
satisfy me

I was not satisfied

No food,
No treasure,
has satisfied me

What am I missing?
I haven't a clue

Ready to quit and give up
I found a companion to share every thought

Without even asking,
the companion said with a grin

You're hungry, I'll satisfy you

When I was full
and content as could be
my companion made just one simple request of me

I'M HUNGRY, SATISFY ME!!

Much to ponder here--love the ironic(or is it?) twist at the end...and oh man, the never ending search for sensation...I like this much rodger.

Well written, great poem, I loved that sharp twist of irony at the end.
