note: I wrote this in response to the prompt "how close can we get?" ... why do I see the sign “pull to open” and yet I push? it remains closed resistance unfound that rare sound of a door opening against my will or the will created by fear of that sign “pull to open” |

A right tight poem, saying much with few words. Welcome to Passions, too! Corinne |

"pull to open"---I like this so much---lovely portrayal of me pushing when the door says 'pull'---and, I am now delighted to know--others, as well....push/pull....Thanx. |

I could really relate to this. It seems I, more often than not, end up doing those things I consciously try to avoid doing. Very effective use of symbolism here. |

7, this is a wonderful poem. I love the metaphor. Great job. "We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars." -Oscar Wilde |
