Passionate Dance The primal sound of ancient drums Were pounding out their beat Upon a lace and velvet stage Where beads of dew taste sweet A thythm pulses in the air Two forms in age-old dance The writhing shadows on the wall Reflect the passionate prance Cadence increases in the dark Engulfed by thrumming drums The culmination of the dance As bodies now succumb The waves of pleasure change the beat Warm breaths are gathered now Entwined within each other's arms Damp hair brushed from their brows Melodic words of love whispered And spoken with their eyes Peacefully they drift to sleep With first rays of the sunrise. |

nope. open is fine, imho.... this one should be read... nothing "adult" about it, accept the fact that it speaks of love which is something that all adults need. (hehe.. not to mention everybody else... *g) enjoyed this, linda. ![]() ~ all you can really ever expect out of life is a sincere apology and some decent poetry ~ |

Linda~ The drum beats loudly ... so elegantly said. No need for adult seclusion here ! A beautiful write done with class. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |
