A Real Estate PR Man Faces a Hostile Audience

Rabbits, possum,racoon, deer,
How nice to see you gathered here.
Now, speaking for the human race,
I'm proud to say, we own this place.

And we're improving our domain.
We've put in pipes to make it drain.
We've cut down shrubs and leveled ground
And bulldozed trees all around.
See those little flags? They show
Where cable will eventually go.

This may not please some folks like you.
You were here first. We know that's true.
And to be fair, here's what we'll do:
We'll set aside a place or two,
Room enough for quite few,
In the nearby county zoo.

Sorry, No questions. Our schedule's tight.
I'm sure things will turn out all right.
Meantime, folks, we're getting paid
To get sixty-four foundations laid.

this is a good write and I agree with you. I sometimes thinks housing estates should be called real estate un-development.

This caught my eye because I work for a Real Estate Appraiser...and yep...my company would be there to appraise the vaule of it...
Fair Market Value. It's all business, ya know!

Soon there will be nothing left and then what?? I LOVED the poem...It has so VERY much meaning and a VERY important message there! Thank you for sharing!!
