I saw a grown man cry, just the other day, seemed like nothing, not even candy, could take his tears away. I saw a grown man cry, on a corner street. I looked into his eyes, with a friendly face I'd greet. We didn't know each other, we have never met before, but that look on his face, was imprinted on my memory forever more. --it was a smile |

Excellent poem here. I have heard it said that a smile is worth more than any money in the world, and in a situation like this, I'd believe it. There are so many people out there that could use some positive influences and examples in their lives, and this is a great influence for any person's life. -= Will =- |

Grown men do cry... it is something very precious to witness. It represents the fragility of the human being. Eternal life without the darkness isn't life at all- it is a lobotomy. |

You keep passing those smiles around, and you will go very, very far...and in writings like this, you might be a "star"... well done! Karilea If I whisper, will you listen?... I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound. KRJ |

There is such beauty in tears... As Allan said "seeing a grown man cry is something very precious to witness. It represents the fragility of the human being." This is true... such truth you speak... this is a beautiful piece, you ought to be VERY proud of this one!! You can't hurt me anymore than I have hurt myself already... |

PA--thanks. You only get one chance to be the first post. jd--its so rare that men show their emotions. acire--sometimes I think that men are inhuman, with the way that they treat people. Angel--thanks. DD--I'm not really all that positive irl, but I try to be. Will--expressions hold more power than words. Allan--I hope that men'll learn to show their other "weak" feelings more often. BE--thank you. Sunshine--thank you LW--Gracias (thanks) Mel--perhaps it isn't money that makes one truely happy... **No weapon will pierce my heart, no hand will be raised to harm me as long as I write.** ~a_little_girl |
