I went dancing last night in a big dance hall just me and the shadow that follows behind. I had the lights real bright so my shadow had life and it always kept in step with a tendency to lead. I pictured you there in the shadow as we danced your dark shape next to mine holding me, loving me again. Doing a waltz in the glare of the lights so bright. When I'd had my fill of dancing I walked to the door you followed me so closely. I reached over to the switch and with just a flick you were gone. WhiteRose In truth, what defines us is our poetry. |

WhiteRose: A much enjoyed piece. I love the adaption of shadows and lost loves, of dancing, and bright lights. It's very original, and superbly done. Smashing ending, as well. I honestly can't see anything in it I would change. Great meter, length - pukka piece. A pleasure to read.Sincerely, Titus "I'll prepare myself, and one day my time will come." |
