Repetitive Pain I look at the sun, I see nothing. The rain has the colors, my tears have the pain. I look out at the world, I see nothing. The people are fake, my mind is a pool. I hear words, but I cannot listen. I open my mouth, but I cannot speak. If you cannot understand my silence, then you cannot understand my words. I see your hand touching mine, but I cannot feel your love. I hear my name being screamed, but it doesn’t phase me. I don’t even react. I just sit in my own minds’ pool… a pool of misery. Finally, I squeeze out tears. Tears of confusion and hate, tears of pain and anger. My minds’ pool has over flown with hurt. Reality grips me in its merciless hands, and I can’t take anymore. I took the plunge. I fell so fast that I missed the ground. I reach a state of consciousness but I see only blackness… Everything seems to be blank. I am at the beginning back to where I started again. Back to start over again just to repeat the end… to begin again. *Until you find something worth dying for, you're not really living* |

"I fell so fast I missed the ground" WOW! The whole poem was great, but this was my favorite line! Excellent expression of pain and what seems like depression. |

Great work. I enjoyed this lines especially. "If you cannot understand my silence, then you cannot understand my words." Keep it up. ![]() Ronil (The sweet sound of summer sends serenity through my soul searching for that evermore solitude.) |

Thank you all very much. Yes, it's a bit depressing, but it's all me. I love reading your replies, so thanks to all of you who took the time to reply. It means a lot! *Until you find something worth dying for, you're not really living* |

I'm very new here, but when I read your poem I was struck hard. Perhaps your meaning was different than my understanding, but it put my heart into words. It was like giving voice to how I feel about my brothers death and how I deal with it each time I attend a funeral or comfort a friend whose lost someone. Thank you so much for your beautiful words. You have an amazing gift. |
